Chongqing Industrial Design City is jointly built by the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission, Shapingba District Government of Chongqing, Chongqing Shared Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., Artop Design Group Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Artop Yuli Technology Co., Ltd. It is an innovative ecosystem with the full industrial chain of industrial design at its core, aiming to support the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Circle.

Chongqing Industrial Design City with the full industrial chain of industrial design at its core, aggregates high-quality innovative resources from the domestic and international industrial design industry chain. It supports the economic development of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities, contributes to national defense construction, promotes green and sustainable development, and rural revitalization. It leads technological innovation, consumption upgrading, healthy living, and future modes of travel.

Chongqing Industrial Design City plans to gather more than 40 high-end service modules, including generic technology research, material application research, user experience research and design, smart mobility design, product design, service design, brand design, IP development and application, rapid prototyping, inspection and testing, precision mold technology, and supply chain management. It provides efficient allocation of high-quality innovative resources for the high-quality development of advanced manufacturing industries and strategic emerging industries such as transportation vehicles, new energy, smart manufacturing, the Internet of Things, medical, consumer goods, communications, military industry, environmental protection, and high-end equipment, which are included in the construction process of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-city Economic Zone.
