Temasek Polytechnic Delegation Visits Chongqing for Exchange and Collaboration

Recently, a delegation from Singapore’s Temasek Polytechnic visited Chongqing to tour the Chongqing Industrial Design Headquarters Base and the Singapore Design Council’s Chongqing Representative Office, and held a successful China-Singapore cooperation exchange symposium.

At the symposium, a representative from Chongqing’s City of Design initiative provided a detailed introduction to the collaboration journey between the two “Cities of Design”—Chongqing and Singapore—in the field of creative design, as well as the development progress of the City of Design initiative. The representative also explained the primary functions and achievements of the Singapore Design Council’s Chongqing Representative Office, expressing a strong desire to deepen future cooperation with Temasek Polytechnic in areas such as design education and industrial practice. During the open exchange session, Singaporean faculty and students actively posed questions, engaging in discussions on topics including the industrial ecosystem, talent cultivation, and bilateral international cooperation, creating a lively atmosphere. Additionally, both sides reached multiple consensus on further strengthening academic and industrial linkages.

Following the symposium, the delegation conducted an on-site tour of the base, learning about its layout, operational model, and resident enterprises, gaining a more direct understanding of the development environment of Chongqing’s design industry.

As fellow global Cities of Design located in Asia, Singapore and Chongqing have continuously deepened their collaboration in the design field. This exchange visit further solidified the foundation for cooperation between Chongqing and Singapore in design, injecting strong momentum into the integration of design resources and the coordinated development of education and industry.
