The ‘Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Chongqing’s Cultural Industry’ focuses on high-quality cultural development, structural supply-side reforms, and fostering cultural creativity and industry integration, aiming for a culturally strong city by 2025.
To further enhance the research and service capabilities of industrial design in the whole city and support the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, the Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission issued the “Notice on Printing and Distributing the Work Plan for the Establishment of Chongqing Municipal-level Industrial Design Research Institutes” in October 2021.
The National Industrial Design Conference is held biennially based on the platform of “Packaging Engineering”, one of the Chinese Core Journals, to organize specialized academic exchange activities.

In September 2021, the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission issued the “Measures for Strengthening and Improving School Aesthetic Education in the New Era in Chongqing,” which sets requirements for the frequency, curriculum, and school conditions of physical and aesthetic education in schools throughout Chongqing.
On September 17, 2021, the 1st Summit Forum of Green Design Promoting “Carbon Peak and Neutrality” in Chongqing, China, was successfully held in Nanan District and Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
On August 23, 2021, the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum on the Digital Economy Industry opened in Chongqing, jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC, Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, the SCO Secretariat, and Chongqing Municipality People’s Government.
On July 28th, the award ceremony of the 2021 “Smart Expo Cup” China Industrial Design Competition was successfully held in Chongqing. Changan UNI-K won the Supreme Award.
