2022 China (Chongqing) Agricultural Products Processing Industry Innovation Design Competition Concluded with 4 Works Won Gold Award

Sour lemon into instant preserves, Wushan crisp plums into wine, highland barley, and red yeast rice into tea, 2022 China (Chongqing) Agricultural Products Processing Industry Innovation Design Competition concluded in Chongqing on June 6. On-site creative and beautifully designed deep-processed agricultural products attracted participants to look around and comprehend the “infinite possibilities” of agricultural processing.

After the process of work collection, competition promotion, expert evaluation, and public announcement, finally, four pieces of work, such as the Chinese medicine whole industry chain collaborative innovation demonstration, won the gold award, 12 such as Jiang Xiaobai agricultural wholly industry chain design won the silver, 20 such as Yonghui Fresh Food standardized agricultural products processing whole industry chain construction won the bronze, four such as the emotional-based branding system design project-Chongqing Yongrong Yongchuan Xiuyao high-end brand image upgrade won the unveiling hanging award and 81 pieces of works such as purple mulberry industry chain design won the excellence award.

In recent years, China’s agricultural products processing industry has maintained good development momentum. In 2022, the national agricultural products processing industry achieved an output value of 18.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.5%.

Chongqing, as a big agricultural city in the western region, multiple measures continuously promote the agricultural products processing industry to accelerate. Yu Xiaolin, division director of the processing division of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that in 2022, Chongqing’s agricultural products processing industry achieved an output value of 300 billion yuan, took the lead in establishing a statistical monitoring system for the agricultural products processing industry in China; created seven 10-billion-dollar demonstration parks and 400 demonstration enterprises; declared the creation of 34 national competitive agricultural industry towns and established 36 national strong agricultural industry town project banks; formed ten sub-industries with an output value of more than 10 billion yuan, including wood, bamboo, rattan, palm and grass processing, grain processing, feed processing, slaughtering and meat processing and other fields. And Chongqing cultivated 1,291 above-standard agricultural products processing enterprises, including 530 enterprises with an output value of 100 million yuan and five listed enterprises in Shanghai and Shenzhen.

Officially launched in August 2022 and jointly sponsored by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission, the competition collects works in China, aiming to transform the achievements of winning work, introducing outstanding design talents, and accelerating the innovation of scientific and technological, product, and design in the agricultural products processing industry.
