The motorcycle industry‘s annual flagship event—the 24th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition Held (hereinafter referred to as China Motorcycle Expo)—will be held from September 19 to 22, 2026, at the Chongqing International Expo Center.
With the theme “Leading Industry Development, Co-creating a Better Future,” this year’s expo covers over 170,000 square meters of exhibition space, including 8 indoor halls and 80,000 square meters of outdoor areas. It will bring together more than 1,000 exhibitors from countries including China, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, and Pakistan—setting new records in both exhibition scale and number of participants.

As China‘s only national-level professional motorcycle expo, the China Motorcycle Expo has grown into a world-class event—a key launch platform for new products and technologies, a hub for brand showcasing, trade, technical exchange, and industry intelligence, as well as a gathering of trendsetters and enthusiasts.
More than 100 global motorcycle and electric vehicle brands are expected to participate, with over 3,000 vehicles on static and dynamic display. The exhibition covers the entire industry chain—from fuel-powered and electric motorcycles to components such as EFI systems, shock absorbers, chains and sprockets, and clutches.
According to an expo organizer, motorcycles are trending toward premiumization, intelligence, and personalization: fuel motorcycle powertrains are diversifying to the extreme, with top-tier track technology accelerating its migration to production models; electric two-wheelers now span commuter, off-road, commercial, and high-speed e-motorcycle segments, with autonomous driving models, range-extender architectures, domain control, and AI active safety redefining the smart riding experience; and automotive-grade chips and AI large models are increasingly integrating into the two-wheeler domain.
This year’s expo will also place special emphasis on electric vehicle core components and riding gear, allowing visitors to understand current battery technology roadmaps and the shift from single-function protective gear toward “smart wearables.”
The China Motorcycle Expo is not only a window for product and technology display but also a new engine for domestic brand sales growth and a key platform for promoting industrial globalization and cross-sector collaboration.
During this year‘s expo, the “China Motorcycle Chongqing Forum” and the “Two-Wheeler Cross-Border (Video) E-Commerce Special Exhibition” will be held, precisely connecting domestic enterprises with global sourcing resources, building international cooperation bridges, and creating industry export channels.
For example, the 2026 China Motorcycle Chongqing Forum—themed “Breakthrough · New Direction”—will invite leading OEMs, core industry chain enterprises, and research institutions to gather in Chongqing for in-depth discussions on global motorcycle market trends and new opportunities for Chinese brands, new pathways for internationalization, how technological innovation will reshape next-gen motorcycles, and industry opportunities emerging from new consumption patterns, new user groups, and new scenarios.
For the domestic market, the expo will partner with leading e-commerce platforms to create an integrated ecosystem combining “offline exhibition + online transactions + local lifestyle services,” generating e-commerce sales for participating brands during the event and building an engine to “promote trade through exhibition and drive sales through trade.”
Buyers from more than 20 countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa have already registered, with sourcing needs covering complete vehicles, components, riding gear, and electric/intelligent technologies. Additional international buyers are joining, with sourcing requirements to be announced progressively.
The expo is not just an industry gathering but a “festival” for motorcycle enthusiasts. This year’s edition will feature over 50 motorcycle-themed events spanning both inside and outside the venue—turning the entire city into a celebration and integrating motorcycle culture into the city‘s fabric.
In the 80,000-square-meter outdoor interactive experience zone, organizers will collaborate with exhibitors to host test rides, slow-speed competitions, gymkhana experiences, C-curve debut challenges, stunt shows, and other themed activities, creating progressive riding scenarios. A new “CIMA Ride Party” will showcase motorcycle skills and techniques, bringing the excitement of motorcycle sports to life.
The expo will also feature the CIMA Rider Town—a gathering of trendy motorcycle gear and specialty food and drinks, creating a vibrant social scene. The CIMA Motorcycle Customization Competition will bring together 60 rare collector’s custom builds and classic vintage motorcycles that chronicle China’s motorcycle history, showcasing the diversity of motorcycle culture. The “CIMA Riders’ Night” will offer a four-day, three-night non-stop celebration, with award ceremonies, motorcycle rock concerts, and cultural activities, inviting exhibitors, riders, and citizens alike to immerse themselves in motorcycle culture.
The Labor Riders‘ Festival, held for seven consecutive years, will roll out a special red carpet for workers who use motorcycles and e-motorcycles as their means of livelihood—honoring them with flowers and applause.
An expo organizer noted that this year’s China Motorcycle Expo will extend across the city, positioning Chongqing as the “home turf for riders.” Key cultural and tourism resources and signature urban consumption scenarios will be integrated into the expo service system, creating a “city-wide festival” and establishing Chongqing as a cultural hub for China‘s motorcycle community.
Additionally, the “China Motorcycle Expo City Heat Map” will be upgraded this year, partnering with lifestyle platforms, financial institutions, gas stations, popular shopping districts, automotive service providers, specialty restaurants, hotels, and tourist attractions to aggregate the city’s most popular riding destinations and create tailored consumption scenarios for riders visiting from around the world. Over 10 urban motorcycle cultural events will be held, using citywide collaboration and multi-channel promotion to integrate motorcycle culture into mainstream entertainment and consumption, fully showcasing the energy and hospitality of the “World Motorcycle Capital.”
