2023 Industrial Design Conference Successfully Held in Chongqing

Recently, the 2023 Industrial Design Conference was held in Chongqing under the guidance of the Industrial Culture Development Center of MIIT and Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission and hosted by the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Southwest Technology and Engineering Research Institute, with more than 60 experts, scholars, and representatives of enterprises to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and prospects of industrial design in various industries. Academician Long Teng, President of BIT and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of BIT, and Zhao Gang, Member of the Party Group of Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

The conference contained one main forum and six sub-forums to discuss crucial topics on people’s well-being, the pillars of great power, technical innovation, green development, cultural innovation, design education, etc., and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the design logic, design innovation, talents, design ecology, etc., and shared industry focus, market hotspots, and academic highlights.

Further step, the Chongqing Municipal Economy and Information Technology Commission will cooperate with relevant departments to promote the deep integration of government, enterprise, academia, and research, further focus on the design field, improve design platforms and capabilities, and provide more and better policy support and service guarantee for the creation of City of Design.
