Following the guidelines of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), it has been decided to publicly solicit design proposals for the logo of Chongqing as a City of Design. The relevant matters are notified as follows.
Southwest China’s Chongqing recently hosted the Second Green Design Forum on December 15. This coincided with the city being honored as a UNESCO Creative City of Design for 2023, highlighting its commitment to innovative urban design.
Chongqing has been officially designated as the City of Design in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). It is the first City of Design in western China and the fifth in China following Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Wuhan.
On World Cities Day, 55 cities join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), following their designation by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.

The third batch of the Chinese Industrial Heritage Protection list was released in Beijing recently. The Chengdu-Chongqing Railway, the first railroad of the People’s Republic of China that carries the memories of countless Chongqing people, the Baishatuo Yangtze River Bridge, the first Yangtze River Bridge in Chongqing, and the southwest aluminum factory, were successfully selected.
