Chongqing-Made EV Brand AIVA Makes Global Debut: First Production Model ME7 Unveiled During Paris Fashion Week

On the evening of September 28 local time in Paris, AIVA, a new “Chongqing-made” automobile brand, completed the global debut of its first mass-production model, the AIVA ME7, during Paris Fashion Week.

AIVA is an AI-pioneering ecosystem mobility brand created by Saidou Technology, a company formed by state-owned capital, Seres, CATL, and multiple industrial investors. Guided by the philosophy that “AI defines the car—AI comes first, the car second,” the brand is committed to building an intelligent partner that can perceive, evolve, and grow alongside its users. Its full product lineup will cover the mainstream market above RMB 200,000.

As the brand‘s first mass-production vehicle, the AIVA ME7 features headlights inspired by biomimetic structures, mimicking the translucency and layered depth of biological eyes. Combined with a high-precision light-dot matrix, they are capable of dynamic emotional expression. The front end adopts a submarine-style nose, drawing on the low-drag, fast-gliding head profile of marine creatures. The shark-fin front bumper references the structure of a shark’s pectoral fin, balancing visual distinctiveness with aerodynamics.

The side profile draws on the gliding, streamlined posture of marine life. Light and shadow flow smoothly and continuously, with well-defined contrasts, while the body surfaces rise and fall in natural transitions. Ten airflow channels guide air from the front, along the body, and smoothly out the rear. The rear adopts a dual-whale-tail wide-body design, with a rear spoiler shaped like the upward flick of a whale‘s tail fin during a deep dive.

The wheels are equally design-forward. The Flying-Pivot sport wheel hubs draw inspiration from the wishbone structure of birds—light yet strong. The Wing-Vein low-drag wheel hubs are paired with translucent covers that mimic wing membranes, optimizing aerodynamics while creating a three-dimensional visual effect.

In terms of color, the AIVA ME7 offers three body colors: Sea Wolf Silver, Coral Purple, and Flamingo Red, all derived from living organisms in nature. Thanks to an artistic light-and-shadow paint finish, each color shifts through different layers as light and viewing angles change.
