Founded in 1998, Chongqing Jinshan Science & Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise engaged in the independent R&D, production, sales, and service of innovative, high-end minimally invasive medical devices. With capsule endoscopy as its core product, Jinshan has pursued a diversified product strategy. The company has developed more than 60 internationally advanced diagnostic and therapeutic devices, including capsule endoscopes, capsule robots, electronic gastrointestinal endoscopes, pH capsules, pH impedance monitoring systems, argon plasma coagulation (APC) systems, hysteroscopic visual suction surgery systems, and large-scale thoracic and abdominal surgical robots. These products are distributed in more than 100 countries and are used in over 6,000 medical institutions worldwide.

For over two decades, Jinshan has been dedicated to safeguarding public health. It has successfully developed five product series comprising more than 60 innovative minimally invasive devices, including capsule endoscope systems, electronic endoscopes, gastrointestinal motility devices, surgical energy instruments, and visual suction abortion systems. More than 95% of its products are either world-firsts or technology leaders, breaking Western monopolies in multiple fields of medical device technology.

The company has received numerous national recognitions: it was designated a National Innovative Enterprise and an International Science and Technology Cooperation Base by the Ministry of Science and Technology; a National High-Tech Industrialization Demonstration Base by the National Development and Reform Commission; and a National Transformation Base for Technological Achievements by the Ministry of Finance. It has also won the National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2021, Jinshan was listed as a Specialized and Innovative “Little Giant” Enterprise by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). In 2022, it was appointed lead unit for the “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Devices Innovation Mission” by MIIT and the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), positioning it as a representative enterprise in China’s innovative minimally invasive medical device industry.
In 2023, the group successfully passed the acceptance checks for the National High-Tech Industrial Standardization Pilot Project for Minimally Invasive Medical Devices and the Chongqing Major Project for New High-End R&D Institutions. That same year, it received the First Chongqing Outstanding Patent Award, the Chongqing Enterprise Innovation Award, certification as a Municipal Industrial Design Center, and was ranked among the Top 100 Chongqing Private Enterprises in Technology Innovation Index. Leveraging the Municipal Industrial Design Center to Safeguard Health

As both a Chongqing Municipal Industrial Design Center and a high-tech digital medical enterprise, Jinshan fully leverages its talent and technological advantages to continuously optimize design and advance the digital medical industry. Industrial design plays a critical role in new product development.
In recent years, the company has independently designed and developed a range of products, including high-definition capsule endoscopes, fully automated capsule endoscope robots, high-definition electronic endoscopes, APC systems, esophageal impedance-pH monitoring systems, wireless pH capsule detection systems, and hysteroscopic visual suction abortion systems. Scientifically designed and of high clinical effectiveness, these products have earned recognition from medical experts and are now used in more than 6,000 medical institutions across over 100 countries and regions.

The Jinshan Industrial Design Center, operated by the company’s Medical Technology Research Institute, integrates more than 120 experts from industry, academia, research, and clinical practice. It also hosts academician and postdoctoral workstations to strengthen R&D. The center has collaborated with institutions such as the School of Electrical Engineering and the School of Biological Engineering at Chongqing University, the Chongqing Academy of Science and Technology, the Third Military Medical University, and Chongqing Yidian Kang. It has undertaken industrial design tasks for 29 innovative medical devices in Chongqing, covering appearance design, structural design, and prototype production. Completed projects include magnetic induction imaging CT systems, bioelectrical conductivity imaging systems, eye trackers, endoscopic surgical robotic arms, and walking-assistance robots, injecting fresh momentum into industry development.
