The list of Chongqing Future Factories in 2025 was released, and 10 enterprises were for Smart Manufacturing
On January 2, according to the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the 2025 Chongqing Future Factory list has been announced. Ten enterprise factories from industrial fields such as intelligent connected vehicles and advanced materials have been selected.

The Future Factory is a modern new-type organization that implements all-round and full-chain in-depth applications through information technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence, carries out business and process innovation around enterprises and industrial chains, and realizes a wider range of optimal allocation of resources, deeper changes in production methods, and higher levels of value creation.
The 10 factories selected this time are divided into two categories: AI-Enabled Demonstration and Collaborative and Symbiotic Chain-Leader. Among them, 9 factories of the former were selected, which will focus on accelerating the in-depth application of artificial intelligence and other information technologies in all aspects of enterprise “research, production, supply, marketing and service”, safety and environmental protection management, and create innovative application scenarios of artificial intelligence; The latter has one factory selected, which will open up digital system interfaces through the industrial chain and supply chain collaboration platform, drive the access of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, and coordinate the implementation of digital transformation with unified standards, forming a digital supply chain with data interconnection, trusted information interaction, and flexible resource allocation.
“These Future Factories all have distinctive characteristics of digital and intelligent development.” The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology said that the city has previously selected the first batch of 10 municipal future factories in 2024, ttogether with the 10 newly selected factories, they will serve as reserve projects in the smart manufacturing sector for the city’s industrial and information technology special funds. Subsequent support will be provided based on relevant policies and conditions.

Moving forward, Chongqing will accelerate the construction of a digital economic system with “Industrial Brain + Future Factory” as its core scenario, promoting the two to form “synchronized resonance and mutual promotion” to jointly enhance the smart manufacturing level of the city’s manufacturing industry. According to the plan, the city aims to build 40 “Future Factories” by 2027.
