In order to respond to the needs of industrial upgrading in the era of digital economy, promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence with the fashion industry and industrial design, and improve the aesthetic literacy of designers’ human-computer interaction, the “2025 Artificial Intelligence +: Advanced Seminar on Improving the Aesthetic Literacy of Designers’ Human-Computer Interaction” hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and co-organized by the Chongqing Fashion Designers Association and the Chongqing Manufacturing Talent Service Center was successfully concluded on November 28. The four-day course attracted professionals from fashion design, industrial research and development, brand operation and other fields to discuss new paths for the design industry empowered by AI technology.
On the first day of the seminar, Professor Chen Guo, Deputy Director of the Design Art and Design Center of Chongqing University of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, analyzed the application of AI in the whole design link through practical cases with the title of “AI Intervening in the Industrial Design Process”. Subsequently, Professor Yu Lei, vice chairman of Chongqing Creatives Association, shared how to break through industry boundaries and integrate resources to achieve creative upgrading around “shaping the multi-dimensional value of the brand”.

This advanced research class course invites a number of cross-field authoritative experts to give lectures, from technology application, aesthetic consumption, humanistic core, practical skills to literacy improvement, to build a comprehensive knowledge system.
The next day’s course focused on the integration of fashion design and digital technology, and Dr. Leng Yun, a scholar of the Chinese fashion industry, built a consumer trend model based on market data with the theme of “Fashion Aesthetic Consumption in the AI Digital Era”, and demonstrated the practical application of ChatGPT and other tools in brand planning.

After the sharing, Ms. Liang Mingyu, chief expert of textile and garment of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and chairman of Chongqing Fashion Designers Association, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers, affirming the importance of the advanced research class in promoting industry exchanges and empowering the growth of talents, and sent a message to the students to deepen their profession and apply what they have learned.

In the afternoon of the same day, Professor Mu Qun of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts discussed the synergistic relationship between AI and human intelligence from the dual perspectives of humanities and science and technology with the title of “Artificial Intelligence and Humanistic Wisdom”, emphasizing the fundamental concept of “AI serving design”.

On the third day, the course focused on practical operations, and Mr. Shi Lingping, an AI fashion trend expert of the China Garment Industry Association, shared the practical skills of AIGC in fashion design, including core content such as trend capture and creative transformation, and showcased the innovative achievements of AI digital fashion products in recent years, providing students with directly applicable working methods.

Zhang Xiong, founder of China Taste and professor of Southwest University, gave a lecture on the topic of “Core Literacy of Contemporary Designers”, combined with brand operation and team management experience, deeply analyzed the composition and growth path of literacy, and provided guidance for students’ career development.
After the course, participants actively participated in interactive exchanges, shared learning experiences, discussed problems in design practice, and further consolidated their learning outcomes.

According to Wang Jianna, secretary-general of the Chongqing Fashion Designers Association, this advanced research class closely focuses on the core needs of R personnel of fashion consumer goods and manufacturing enterprises to design courses, attracting more than 90 people to participate, an increase of nearly 50% year-on-year, reflecting the industry’s urgent demand for AI design learning. The curriculum system is complete and solid, covering multiple dimensions such as technology, aesthetics, practice and literacy, effectively empowering industry talents and promoting industrial upgrading.

In the future, Chongqing Fashion Designers Association will continue to build a high-quality learning platform, gather industry wisdom, cultivate professional talents, promote the continuous improvement of design productivity, and help the high-quality development of the fashion industry.
